Diponegoro University through the Education Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LP2MP) held a socialization and promotion for New Student Admissions on Thursday, March 2 2023 which was held at SMAN 2 Batang Regency. Socialization and promotion activities are activities carried out by the LP2MP Admissions and Promotions team to provide information regarding the selection route and the date of selection implementation in New Student Admissions at Diponegoro University.
The Admission and Promotion Team from LP2MP was represented by 3 people, namely Mr. Dr. Aris Triwiyatno, S.T., M.T as the resource person was assisted by 2 LP2MP staff. This socialization and promotion event started at 09.00 WIB at the Hall of SMAN 2 Batang which began with a speech from the Principal of SMAN 2 Batang, Mr. Sugeng S.Pd, M.Pd. The atmosphere in the SMAN 2 Batang Hall is very relaxed, plus the cool breeze adds to the enthusiasm of SMAN 2 Batang students to take part in socialization and promotions from LP2MP Undip.
Apart from being attended by the students of SMAN 2 Batang, the Socialization and Promotion of New Student Admissions was also attended by the Principal and Guidance and Guidance Teachers. In his presentation Mr. Dr. Aris Triwiyatno, S.T., M.T explained the profile of Diponegoro University starting from the facilities available, service applications, location access and the achievements achieved by Diponegoro University. It was also conveyed that there were various and interesting Student Activity Units to participate in. There are 46 Student Activity Units (UKM) which have gained national and international reputation in various competitions such as: UKM Choir, UKSA (Water Diving Activity Unit) Diponegoro Theater, Undip Debating forum, KORPS volunteer Indonesian Red Cross (KSR – PMI) etc.
In his presentation the resource person also explained the number of study programs at Undip. Consisting of 53 undergraduate study programs, 11 D4 study programs, 1 undergraduate study program (PSDKU), 19 specialist study programs, 5 professional study programs, 39 Masters and 16 Doctoral studies. Most study programs receive good accreditation and quite a few have even received international accreditation. Among them, it has been internationally accredited by ASIIN, FIBAA, and IABEE.
In his presentation the resource person also explained the various Diponegoro University New Student Admission Selection routes, namely the SNBP, SNBT and Independent Examination routes. The resource person also conveyed tips and strategies for choosing the right study program. One of them is by paying attention to the applicant’s interest and studying the types of tests that will be taken during the selection to enter state universities. The students of SMAN 2 Batang were very enthusiastic. Evidenced by the number of students who asked questions to the resource person. At the end of the presentation, he also gave an injection of encouragement to the students to study diligently so they could enter the study program that suits their choices and aspirations. The procession continued with the symbolic handing over of merchandise by the resource persons to the BK Teacher representatives. Then continued with handing over goodie bags containing brochures to students.
