Undip Successfully Enlivens Solo Edu Expo 2023 Education Exhibition

Diponegoro University through its Educational Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LP2MP) participated to enliven the Solo Edu Expo 2023 Education Exhibition organized by Consultation of Teachers Guidance Counseling (MGBK) Solo Raya at Graha Solo Raya on December 12-13, 2023. In his speech at the Opening Ceremony, Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Sugeng, M.Psi., emphasized that this expo is not only an annual event, but also as an important platform for introducing Higher Education (PT), both domestically and abroad. Involving 72 Universities, this activity aims to provide advanced study information directly to high school/SMK/MA students and parents. The event opened with a gambyong dance performance from SMAN 3 Surakarta and continued with a report from the Chairman of the Committee, Drs. Sugeng, M.Psi., as well as a ribbon cutting by the Head of Education Department of Central Java Province. The Undip Socialization and Promotion Team, consisting of 5 people, is present to provide comprehensive information on the selection paths, educational costs, study programs, facilities, and advantages possessed by Undip. On the first day of the exhibition, the Undip booth gained a positive appreciation proved to be visited by more than 1200 visitors. Undip’s Socialization and Promotion Team enthusiastically provides comprehensive information on selection paths, educational costs, study programs, facilities, and Undip’s excellence. Frequently asked questions by visitors regarding scholarship programs, graduate profiles, and lecture materials. Undip’s Socialization and Promotion Team also provides excellent service by providing informative answers and explanations to every question asked. In addition, the Sospro Undip Team describes in detail the profile of Diponegoro University, including the choice of study programs, facilities, service applications, location access, university achievements, student activity units, and Scholarship Programs. Up-to-date information on the implementation schedule of SNBP and SNBT 2024 was also presented. In addition, the Undip Socialization Team also slipped in small games with Undip merchandise prizes that managed to increase the enthusiasm of Solo Edu Expo 2023 participants. The main purpose of Undip’s participation in this event is to introduce Undip to high school/SMK/MA students and visitors to Solo Raya Edu Expo 2023, and to motivate them to choose a study program that suits their interests and potential. Undip’s successful participation in this event not only creates awareness of the university’s diversity of study programs and excellence, but also gives positive encouragement to high school/SMK/MA students to step up to higher education levels with better confidence and understanding. This event is not only a promotional event, but also a real step to bring Undip closer to its prospective students in Solo Raya and its surroundings.
