UNDIP, Semarang (September 12)Diponegoro University (Undip) through the Institute for Learning Development and Educational Quality Assurance (LP2MP) welcomed a school visit from SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta on Friday, September 12, 2025.
The event took place at 09.00 WIB in the ICT Building, Undip Tembalang, and was attended by eight teachers from the visiting school.

The session featured Ir. M. Arfan, S.Kom., M.Eng., Head of the Center for Admission and Educational Promotion at Undip, as the speaker. In his presentation, he shared that Undip is currently conducting a series of roadshows to various schools, including SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta.

“We hope to visit SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta directly in the near future. Please note that the official information regarding the New Student Admission (PMB) will be released in December. Meanwhile, the information currently available can serve as a general overview,” said Ir. M. Arfan.

To support campus activities and enhance student facilities, Undip manages several business units, including Rusunawa (student dormitory), Muladi Dome, Dipo Hub, and various other units that contribute to the educational ecosystem.

The presentation also covered student life at Undip, including Student Activity Units (UKM), opportunities for student exchange programs, national and international competitions, and various types of support provided to students to help them develop their interests and talents.

In the session on New Student Admission (PMB), the speaker explained several admission pathways, namely:

  1. SNBP (National Selection Based on Achievement/report cards)

  2. SNBT (National Selection Based on Test)

  3. Undip Independent Selection, and

  4. SBUB (Outstanding Student Selection Program), which opens after the SNBT process.

Undip also offers an International Undergraduate Program (IUP), which was further discussed in a dedicated Q&A session. Ir. M. Arfan reminded participants to refer only to official information announced through Undip’s channels—particularly pmb.undip.ac.id—and to avoid relying on unverified information circulating on social media.

The visit concluded with a souvenir exchange ceremony from Undip to the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta.
Through this visit, participants gained a clearer understanding of Undip’s university profile, study program options, admission pathways, as well as academic culture and student life.
